Server 2016, Virtual Servers, Exciting stuff

Technology doesn't stand still!

Been building a new server and finally using my knowledge, for a production environment.

Server 2016 to host Virtual Servers so using Microsoft's core technology. Its a bit different from Microsoft's Small Business Server.

I still think Microsoft made a mistake by withdrawing this product. but now we have had to move on with Server 2016 , Hyper-V And Virtual Servers, Great learning curve,  The hardest thing I found was getting my head round the virtual to physical connection of the server,  I can see the practical use of virtual servers, especially if space is an issue.

It just depends on the customers requirements. And their budget.

Still trying to figure out why Microsoft changed the name from Terminal Services to Remote Desktop Services.

Where is this year going?

Dear Reader, 

Nearly a quarter of the year gone... and if you blinked you missed it.

I had an interesting case the other day, found out that VMS software that works with Cobra CCTV units, doesn't show the black Screen Matrix, via RDP session.

Well, you learn something new every day.

I also still getting used to my new Phablet ( A Phone and tablet combined)  only thing is when the case is on does not fit in my pocket.

but is very useful,

Well, I wish I'd had a Crystal Ball So I could have seen GDPR coming. This is once again a rush job.

Not all of my customers had even heard of it.... but it will be here soon enough!
